Present perfect : Just, already, yet

He’s just woken up!

On peut enrichir le present perfect grâce à ces adverbes.

Just est pour quelque-chose qui vient de se produire:

  • I’ve just finished!
  • They’ve just arrived.
  • He’s just left.

Already est pour quelque-chose qui s’est déjà produit ou se produit déjà:

  • The film has already started.
  • We have already seen this movie.
  • I have already eaten.

Yet est pour quelque-chose qui ne s’est pas encore produit. On l’utilise à la forme négative ou interrogative:

  • The film hasn’t started yet.
  • We haven’t finished yet.
  • He hasn’t woken up yet.
  • Have you finished yet?
  • Have you had breakfast yet?
  • Have you payed your taxes yet?
